ABOUT ME
Hello! I am Jennifer. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Liberty University in 2011 and has been practicing in NC as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). My work focuses on helping individuals getting to a better place, so they can create a sense of joy and growth.
EXPERTISE
I specialize in working with teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds, who are dealing with substance abuse, addiction, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, co-dependency, relationship issues, and other life stressors. Change can be scary but if you want different results out of life you must try different approaches. When you come in for your first visit, we will collaborate on your specific needs and goals. My goal is to help you change your life to what you want it to be.
COUNSELING APPROACHES
I utilize an eclectic blend of modalities of therapy depending on the individual, which include Solution Focused Therapy, Supportive Therapy, Motivational enhancement therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I work with individuals and couples with a variety of treatment needs. My approach is gentle, direct, yet motivating!
INSURANCES ACCEPTED
Please note, clients are responsible for calling their insurance to verify insurance benefits for Outpatient Therapy (in-network or out-of-network benefits if Wake Counseling provider is not in-network with your insurance plan). Here are commonly accepted plans by this provider:
BCBS (Out-of-Network for Blue-Local Plans for Duke & WakeMed)
Aetna
Ambetter of NC
Optum/UHC
Out-of-Network Insurance: We can provide a “Super Bill” invoice clients can submit to their insurance provider to claim out-of-network benefits. Client is responsible for verifying out-of-network benefits with their insurance plan.
Private/Self-pay, fee schedule is as following:
Initial Assessment/Consultation - $170
Individual 40-45-minute session - $105
Individual 46–60-minute session - $140
Family 45-minute session - $120
Family 46–60-minute session- $160
There will be $105 no-show/late cancellation fee for missed appointment unless cancel/reschedule appointment with a 24-hour notice in advance.
